EDUCATION
• Ph.D. Aug. 2009, Department of Chemistry, Michigan State
University, East Lansing, MI
Advisers:
Dr. Greg. M. Swain (Department of Chemistry)
Dr. James J. Galligan (Department of Pharmacology & Toxicology)
• B.S. July, 2003,
Department of Chemistry, Xiamen University, Fujian, P.R.China
RESEARCH
EXPERIENCE
• Developed a reversed
phase HPLC technique coupled with Electro-Chemical detection (HPLC-EC)
for the analysis of neurotransmitters in organs and plasma
• Used HPLC-EC
method to quantitatively analyze small biological molecule norepinephrine
(NE) and its metabolite levels in heart and liver, as a function
of the disease state
• Established
an in-vitro electrochemical method coupled with biosensor to directly
record NE release from sympathetic nerves innervating blood vessels
• Studied the
alteration of NE release mechanisms and receptor function in hypertensive
animals
• Studied the
effects of oxidative stress on blood pressure and sympathetic nerve
activity with in vivo chronic antioxidant treatment
• Measured neurotransmitter,
serotonin, level from single cells to study the serotonin transporter
function in new born and adult guinea pigs
• Pharmacokinetics
of soluble epoxide hydrolase inhibitors
• Metabolomics
study of soluble epoxide hydrolase inhibitors on inflammatory disease
