Shimadzu LC Equipment Setup

Do not forget:

VICI valve position A means column 1
Vici valve position B means column 2

SAMPLE POSITION "0" does not exist in MassLynx, do not select!!!!!!
Keep it empty.

Shimadzu Controller (SCL-10AVP)

Type "0" Appeares: analytical sequence
Push "function"
Push "f1" (SIL)

Be sure that the "p.file edit" parameter is in "standard" mode (modify if necessary)

Be sure that the rinse mode is "3" (modify if necessary)

Push f5 (exit)

Push f5 (menu)

Shimadzu Controller Communications Setup


Check the communication settings on the display of the Shimadzu controller by Selecting 4 (communication) at the main menu followed by F3 (next page). The settings should be as follows:

It may require the Shimadzu and MS computer to be re-booted before the settings are accepted. The baud rate set up in the Shimadzu controller must correspond to the baud rate setting in the Inlet editor

Than power down and up Shimadzu Controller (SCL-10AVP)!!!!

Close MassLynx and open MassLynx.

That’s' it.

Than go...and configure nicely the MassLynx inlet editor!


MassLynx Inlet Editor Setup

After configuring the Shimadzu setup in the Inlet Configuration Wizard, the modules need to be setup in the Shimadzu Configuration window. Select the Shimadzu drop down and click on Configuration.

This will bring up the configuration page. Select the appropriate modules and ensure the Com port and Baud rate settings are correct.

 

Mode: High pressure ternary gradient
Rack select: 2,12
Select: Deterium lamp
Deselect RV.C
Com port: 1
Baud rate: 9600
