Communications Setup
Check the communication
settings on the display of the Shimadzu controller by Selecting
4 (communication) at the main menu followed by F3 (next page). The
settings should be as follows:

It may require
the Shimadzu and MS computer to be re-booted before the settings
are accepted. The baud rate set up in the Shimadzu controller must
correspond to the baud rate setting in the Inlet editor

Close MassLynx and open MassLynx.

Editor Setup
After configuring
the Shimadzu setup in the Inlet Configuration Wizard, the modules
need to be setup in the Shimadzu Configuration window. Select the
Shimadzu drop down and click on Configuration.
This will bring
up the configuration page. Select the appropriate modules and ensure
the Com port and Baud rate settings are correct.
Mode:
High pressure ternary gradient
Rack select: 2,12
Select: Deterium lamp
Deselect RV.C
Com port: 1
Baud rate: 9600
